How To Make Slow-Cooked Chicken Drumsticks
By KC Kudra
Some recipes will tell you to cook the drumsticks in seasoned flour and then add some liquid and others will tell you to add everything to the slow cooker, perhaps browning the poultry first, and then leave it all to cook. The skin does not go crispy in a crockpot so remove it before you begin.
Barbecue flavor drumsticks are really good and you can make these by combining half a cup of soy sauce with a couple of minced garlic cloves, eight ounces of tomato sauce and quarter of a cup of brown sugar.
Mix this sauce with twelve skinless drumsticks and cook on low for eight hours. This is a really simple recipe and the results are great. You can serve this at a buffet or even as a hot appetizer.
Recipe For Teriyaki Chicken Drumsticks
This recipe gives your poultry an authentic Asian flavor and you can use this sauce for pork instead of chicken if you prefer. These are nice served hot from the slow cooker or chilled. When they finish cooking the meat is falling off the bone so giving them half an hour in the refrigerator might be a good idea if you are serving them as finger food, as the meat will hold on to the bone better when they are cold.
What You Need:
- 25 skinless chicken drumsticks
- 1 bottle thick teriyaki sauce
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 3 tablespoons Chinese five spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
How To Make It:
Stir the spices together, then roll the chicken in the mixture and add them to the slow cooker. Cook for six hours on low. Add six tablespoons of the teriyaki sauce over the top, then cook for an hour more. Transfer the cooked chicken on to a serving platter and drizzle some more sauce over the top.

Garlic Shrimp Pasta Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 Pound thin spaghetti(or whatever long pasta you like!)
- 1 lb medium shrimp(or shrimps as my mother might say), cleaned and deveined
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 3-4 large cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, coarsely chopped
- salt & black pepper, to taste
Put on large pot of water on the stove and turn up the heat! While you are waiting for the pasta water to boil you can start to prepare your skillet with the oil you’ll cook the shrimp in. When the water comes to a rolling boil, toss in the pasta and about a tsp of salt and let it cook.
In the meantime, heat the oil in the skillet. Throw in the chopped up garlic and let it simmer for about a minute. Then add the shrimp, seasoning it with a dash of salt and pepper. It should only take about a minute or two for the shrimp to cook, so when they turn pink and look about ready, remove them from the pan with a slotted spoon.
Add the butter and wine to the skillet and turn the heat to a medium-high setting. (Don’t forget to keep an eye on your pasta in the meantime! An occasional stir never hurts)
Reduce the wine and butter mixture until it has reduced to about half the original amount. Return the shrimp to the pan and let reheat. In the meantime, drain the pasta - but reserve about a cup of the water in the pot! If your skillet is bit enough, toss the pasta in with the shrimp, add the parsley and toss over high heat. If not, transfer to a large bowl and mix there. If the pasta is a little dry, add a little of the boiled water and an extra spoon of olive oil.
Garnish the pasta with a few sprigs of additional parsley and offer your guests some grated cheese to top it off. Rest assured, this garlic shrimp pasta recipe is sure to be a hit!

Easy Homemade Eggs Benedict Recipe For Breakfast
By Byul Im
What you’ll need for this recipe:
4 eggs
Two English Muffins, cut into two halves horizontally
Canadian Bacon - 4 slices; you could also use baked ham
2 tsp of Fleur De Sel Salt or kosher salt
2 tbsp of distilled white vinegar
Hollandaise sauce
To garnish
Parsley leaves or chives
How To Make Hollandaise Sauce
Prepare this sauce just before you start on the main dish so that it remains warm.
Combine yolks of three eggs with a tbsp of fresh lemon juice and beat it around in a saucepan over a slow flame. To this mixture, add half a cup of white wine and a quarter pound of unsalted butter and keep stirring till the butter melts. Now add a tbsp of white vinegar, pepper and salt and keep stirring till you see the sauce getting thick. If you feel the sauce is coming apart, you could add two spoons of water and keep whisking till you get a creamy texture.
How To Make Eggs Benedict
First, toast your English muffins till they reach a crispy golden brown colour. Take them off the broiler or oven and spread a teaspoon of butter evenly on the toasts. Take a frying pan and cook the Canadian bacons or ham slices till they get brown. Now, place a slice of this on each muffin toast.
Next, we have to poach the eggs. Grease a deep pan with oil; then fill it with water. Make sure there’s enough water to keep the eggs fully immersed. To this water, add salt and vinegar to enable the eggs to retain their shape. Let the liquid boil; then simmer the heat just before you add the eggs.
How To Add The Eggs
Take small sized bowls and break each egg into a bowl. Hold these bowls just below the surface of the liquid to let the egg yolks flow out into the water. Now switch off the heat and close the pan with a lid. Let the eggs rest in the liquid for at least three minutes. You can adjust this duration according to the firmness of the yolk.
Next, carefully pick up each egg from the water with a slotted spoon; hold for a while to let excess water drain off and place a poached egg on each of the toasted muffins. Add Hollandaise sauce over the eggs, garnish with chives or parsley and serve.
This recipe’s good for four servings.

• 4 garlic cloves, minced and 2 whole garlic cloves
• 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
• 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
• 1 tablespoon finely chopped celery
• black pepper, to taste
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, each 4 ounces
• 8 cups leaf lettuce, washed and dried
• 16 large ripe (black) olives
• 2 navel oranges, peeled and sliced
Cooking the Food:
1. Let us make the dressing first. Prepare a small bowl and mix vinegar, garlic, olive oil, onion, celery and pepper. When you are done mixing the dressing, put it in the refrigerator to cool. This will be used later. Let us now proceed to the next step.
2. Clean your grill, and prepare it for heating. You can use either the coal grill, electric grill or the gas grill. You can choose any grill you want. Once you are done heating the grill rack, take it away from the heat source and lightly coat it with cooking spray. Once you are done, put the grill rack from the heat source 4 to 6 inches away.
3. Prepare the chicken breasts, rub it with garlic. Once you are done with the rubbing, discard the garlic. Put the chicken on the grill and cook it until it turns brown and cooked enough; preferably 5 to 10 minutes on each side. When you are done, transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it stay there for 5 minutes, cooling off so you won’t burn your hands before you slice it into strips.
4. In a bowl or plate, arrange the vegetables for the salad. Put the lettuce, olives and oranges. When done, top with the chicken strips and add with dressing.
You have cooked a wonderful dish that can help you on your diet and at the same time tastes good. You can serve this with nice cold water; you could even try serving this to your family members and let them enjoy its taste. It is good to eat proper foods every day.

Chinese Fried Rice - How to Make Fried Rice
By KC Kudra
Chinese fried rice is one of the most popular dishes ordered from Chinese takeout restaurants and a lot of people wonder how to get the great flavor and texture of this amazing dish. If you enjoy making fried recipes like a southern fried chicken recipe or chicken fried steak, you will enjoy making this tasty Chinese dish. Fried rice is so simple to make and it is the perfect accompaniment to any Chinese meat, fish, or chicken dish.
This recipe is a great way to combine leftovers. Using leftovers means there are infinite possibilities if you want to make something really flavorful and different countries have their own versions of this dish. Indonesian fried rice is different from the Thai style dish, for example.
Cooking Tips for This Delicious Dish
Use steamed or boiled white rice to make this dish. The key to a good dish is to use chilled rice. If you use it freshly cooked, it will not taste authentic or have a good texture. Chilling it overnight gets rid of excess moisture and makes the grains firm and therefore easier to separate. Cooking with fresh grains means you will get mushy results. If you do not have a whole day, make sure it can cool for a few hours somewhere cool before you use it.
The wok has to be very hot so the soy sauce gives flavor to the dish, rather than making it soggy. Also, a layer of oil in a hot wok will dance around and create a nonstick coating. If the wok is not sufficiently hot, the contents will stick to it.
You can use any leftovers you want in this recipe. What about some leftover bacon or ham from breakfast, some chopped chicken from yesterday’s dinner or some leftover carrots? Do not use anything too wet or in a sauce, else the dish will go mushy. Garlic, ginger, and salt are good seasonings and you can also add some chili powder to spice the dish up.
The Recipe - Step by Step
This basic fried rice recipe can be modified, as you like. If you are going to add more ingredients to it, you should use three eggs instead of two. This recipe serves four to six people as a side dish. Feel free to add chili powder, ginger, garlic or anything else you fancy.
What you will need:
- 4 cups cold cooked rice
- 1 finely chopped green onion
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce or soy sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 eggs
How to make it:
Beat the eggs with some salt and pepper. Heat half the oil in a wok, and then add the eggs. Cook them, stirring all the time, until they are scrambled but still wet. Take out the eggs and wipe out the pan with paper towels.
Add the rest of the oil and stir fry the rice for a few minutes. Use a wooden spoon or a pair of chopsticks to stir the grains and separate them. Stir in the oyster sauce or soy sauce, and then add the eggs back in the pan. Mix well and stir in the green onion. Adjust the seasonings and serve hot.
Fried chicken is another example of something you can make in your wok. A pan fried chicken recipe makes a change from deep fried chicken and the whole family will enjoy this mouthwatering treat.
